CSKA Moscow Horns Offense (3)

With this post I am beginning The Final Four Special, where we are going to check different set play of Euroleague Final Four Teams.

This time we are checking a CSKA Moscow Horns Offense which is played by the russians to play a top ballscreen between the 4 and the 5, or to play a top ballscreen between the 1 and the 5.

From a Horns set, 4 sets a ballscreen for 1
who dribbles to the wing. 4 pops to the oppo-
site wing being cross screened by 5.
Then 1 hits 4.

First option is played when 5 sets a ball-
screen for 4 and rolls to the paint. 4 at-
tacks the rim and can hit 5 in the paint.

Second option is played when 5 sets a ball-
screen for 4 and 4 dribbles towards 1 for a
hand-off pass. Then 4 pops to the wing.

Finally 5 sets a ballscreen for 1 and rolls to
the rim. 1 can attack the rim, can hit 5 in
the paint, can 4 at the wing, or can hit 3 at
the other wing.
